December 17th 2007
In only a few weeks I leave my Sheffield house (and home of over 20 years) behind me, and move over the channel to Brittany. I first saw my house there, in the flesh, nearly two years ago, on the 12th January 2005, just over one year after my mum died.
A few friends have said I'm brave, others that they are jealous, but I trust my leap of faith to my mum, because it was she who told me to turn my world 'upside down'. So it's to her that I dedicate this blog.

Hello Lizzie - it's great you've set up a blog, and the story about your Mum is really moving. I wish you well in your leap of faith. Take care and keep in touch.
Hi Lizzie. Best of luck with it all. You will be missed lots! Keep in touch though - harryseaside@yahoo.co.uk and http://harryseaside.blogspot.com/
Hi Lizzie,
the blog is a great idea - you are going to go through all sorts of emotions in the next few weeks before heading of for Meneac, and, probably, even more once settled in Brittany. This is a great way to keep in touch with all of us still stuck here and voice your feelings out loud - will be watching........... see you on the 11th, hugs Analeen xxx
Hello Lizzie's blog,
looking forward to the trip across to Meneac and seeing you settled there with Basil. You've inspired me with your writing and maybe with emigrating too...
Love Lisa x
